Four metres from the leak
Water got in at the ridge and ran along steel rafters to show up in a wardrobe four metres away.
“Amazing how far water can travel along metal rafters. This leak was entering at the ridge line and wreaking havoc in a wardrobe 4 metres away. It had the customer stumped for years, but we finally tracked it down and fixed it.”
The job
On this grey concrete tile roof, the ridge was opened up to expose the blue steel rafters and battens underneath. That is where the water was getting in, well away from where it showed inside.
The last photos show the roof finished, with its hips and ridge closed back up under a clear sky.
