Valley iron exposed on an older tiled roof during repair

Valleys · Jul 2025

Water tight and looking the goods

An older terracotta roof with new valleys and a repoint.

“She’s water tight and looks the goods. Some love for this old roof with some new valleys and a repoint.”

The job

The tiles along the valleys were lifted, including around a skylight dome, to reach the valley iron underneath.

New valleys went in, the tiles went back down, and the ridge and hips were pointed.
